PLACED | Madrid, Spain | English-Speaking Live-Out Nanny | February Start Date

A family well known to the Agency, is currently looking for an English-speaking, experienced, professional nanny to join their family and help them to look after their daughter, born in September 2023. She is currently 14 weeks old and will be 18 weeks old by the time the family expects the position to begin.

A family well known to the Agency, is currently looking for an English-speaking, experienced, professional nanny to join their family and help them to look after their daughter, born in September 2023. She is currently 14 weeks old and will be 18 weeks old by the time the family expects the position to begin.

Their older daughter (nearly 5) attends an English-speaking Montessori school Monday to Friday 9-15:30 including some after school activities. On Fridays, school finishes at 13:30 but again, she has some activities afterwards. Her drop-off and pick-up will not be the responsibility of the nanny.

The nanny is expected to look after the baby full-time. On some occasions, she would look after their older daughter. However, the mother mentioned that she is pretty certain her daughter will want her friendship and will at times lure the nanny into a game.

The most spoken language at home is English, but they are a multi-cultural international family (American/Finnish/Armenian). All languages are spoken, and of course, living here in Spain, Spanish is also spoken.

Depending on where the nanny is from, the family would expect either English or Spanish to be spoken to the baby.

This is a busy working family, and the dad works full-time outside the home, but has lots of flexibility and may be around during the nanny’s working hours at times.

The mom also works, and her work is even more flexible so she sometimes work from home, sometimes from the office. She is hands on and will sometimes want to spend time with the baby during the nanny's hours.

A Spanish speaking (only) housekeeper that comes 5 days a week is employed.

The nanny would work from 8am to 5pm – with some flexibility for the right candidate.

The nanny will be responsible for all usual nursery duties (i.e.: looking after the children, help them to develop, organise activities according to their ages, shopping for their needs, tidying up after them, cooking for them etc.).

It is essential that the nanny has experience in infant/baby development.

The nanny will be asked to travel with the family and during travels she will be expected to stay in an hotel room with the baby. Unless the family stays in a multi-bedroom home, then she will be able to stay in her own room. The family usually goes skiing one week in February ,14-days long trips around Spain in August, and perhaps will go for some long weekends somewhere as the baby gets older.

The family is not sure yet if the nanny will be working 24h/24 when travelling. This is to be confirmed and will be paid extra.

The family offers 4 weeks paid holiday to be taken in the month of July, or depending on the family can arrange that one of those weeks (or 2) is in December/January.

Please note that only candidates holding an EU passport or already have the right to work in Spain will be considered.

A charming French family living in the 5th arrondissement of Paris is currently looking for an Bilingual English/French-speaking nanny to look after their two little girls who will be 6 years old and 3 years old and who will both be attending school in September 2024.

It is important for the nanny to be an English speaker and to be  bilingual in French. She needs  at least to have a good foundation of French and to be able to help the little girls learn the English language, by doing translations and helping them with homework in both languages.

The little girls presently have a French nanny and are improving their English by currently doing one hour of English per day in an English activity club.

The nanny will be responsible for the well-being of the children, their awakening and will therefore ensure their safety and put in place activities adapted to their ages. She will also supervise park, bath and meal times.

She will be responsible for their educational learning and learning English.

The nanny's schedule in Paris will be from 1:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.: tidying up the little girls' rooms, their clothes, their toys, etc., picking them up from school at 4:30 p.m. then accompanying them to their activities and/or at home to do homework or play house. She will then be responsible for putting them in their pyjamas and feeding them if necessary.

On Wednesday the nanny will be responsible for the children throughout the day, from 8:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

If the children become ill, the nanny will have to look after them. She will be paid for additional on-call hours.

During school holidays, the nanny will work full time and accompany the family to Normandy or Méribel. The family usually spends the school holidays in their second home in Normandy (All Saints' Day, Christmas, Easter, July and August). Both parties will reach an agreement in advance for the nanny's vacation.

Night hours on call in Normandy will be paid approximately half of the hours worked during the day.

During the holidays in Normandy, weekends will be free. If the nanny does not wish to stay there during the weekend, return transport to Paris will be offered.

The family is looking for someone friendly, jovial, intelligent, who has common sense and who should not be told what to do, someone who has a heart, who knows how to be strict when necessary and who maintains good family relations with his employers.

PLACED | Lyon, France | Experienced Bilingual Nanny | November 2023

A family of professionals living in Lyon are currently looking for an experienced nanny to look after their three children aged 13, 10 and 9.

A family of professionals living in Lyon are currently looking for an experienced nanny to look after their three children aged 13, 10 and 9.

The nanny will be primarily English or French speaking, bilingual French/English. The nanny must only communicate in English with the entire family, including both parents. The children are not bilingual French/English but have basic knowledge. The family wants learning English to become part of their daily lives.

As parents both have very demanding jobs, the flexibility and availability of the nanny will also be essential.

Although the children are at school and independent, they, like all children, need to be accompanied, supported and encouraged by their nanny, both for homework and extra-curricular activities.

The nanny will be responsible for all the children's needs. This includes: setting up various and fun activities, organizing their daily life (making appointments, run errands relating to their needs, etc.), tidying up their clothes as well as their living spaces, preparing their meals as well as those of the family in the evening (simple cooking), taking care of their homework, activities.

One cook takes care of preparing a few dishes at the start of the week.

In the morning, either a parent or the nanny will accompany the children to school. The nanny will return home and take care of tidying up their bedrooms, clothes, books, will then pick up the children from school at 4:30 p.m. generally, and supervise the homework in French and English. Then follow dinner and tidy up and they go to bed at around 9 p.m.

The nanny is free during the day, apart from Wednesdays.

During school periods, the nanny will work an average of 50 hours per week as follows:

Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays worked from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and from 4:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Wednesday is worked from 7:00 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Added to this is a 3-hour babysitting during the week, and depending on the family needs an additional 5-hour babysitting during the day or evening on Saturdays. One full  free monthly weekend is offered but it’s likely that other weekends will be as well.

During school holiday periods, more flexibility will be requested from the nanny so that she is present during the day when the family is not going on vacation.

5 weeks of paid leave are due to the nanny.

A housekeeper is present at the home every day.

An independent and equipped 30m2 studio is made available to the nanny.

However, it is possible depending on the family's schedule and commitments that this could go beyond 5 weeks.

Driving license required. A car is available when on duty.

PLACED | Brussels | Bilingual Rota-Nanny – 10 Years Experience Minimum | Start as soon as possible

A friendly French-speaking family, well known to the Agency for many years, is looking for a bilingual English-French speaking rota-nanny to start in October/November and work alongside a second English-speaking rota-nanny who has been in place for eighteen month.

Please note that, as a consequence of Brexit, only EU passport holders or candidates who already have the right to work in the EU will be considered.

A friendly French-speaking family, well known to the Agency for many years, is looking for a bilingual English-French speaking rota-nanny to start in October/November and work alongside a second English-speaking rota-nanny who has been in place for eighteen month.

The current nanny highly recommends this family, which she describes as friendly, dynamic, very respectful of her work and never stressed.

This is an atypical job. The family is made up of three sisters, all married and each having had a child at short intervals. The two nannies are employed by the grandmother and work for the three sisters at the same time, looking after a 2 year old full time, and the other two aged 2 and 2.5 years from 1.30 p.m. on weekdays as they go to a local Montessori school. The nanny will take care of the 3 children at weekends but rarely all together as the young parents of the three children are very committed to their education.

The siblings get along extremely well and work within the family business.

A floor dedicated to the nursery has been set up at the grandmother's house. The eldest is dropped off at 8 a.m. at the family nursery. The two youngest children go to a bilingual school in the morning and are accompanied by their parents. They come home from school at 1:30 p.m. and take a two-hour nap, therefore from 1:30 p.m. the nanny has responsibility for the three children. The nanny will work from 8 a.m. to around 7:30 p.m.

The nanny will sometimes be asked to babysit. In this case, the child stays to sleep at night in a room near the nursery. Another bedroom is dedicated to the nanny.

A playroom is part of the nursery, in which children do painting, arts and crafts etc. It is therefore essential that the nanny has a creative mind and is very organized.

The nanny must be rigorous, have an artistic spirit, must enjoy going for walks, spending time in the garden where there is a play area and a sandbox, etc.

It is essential that the nanny is a good swimmer.

The family employs two housekeepers. No bedrooms  or clothing maintenance is required from the nanny who will only be responsible for the maintenance of the nursery.

The nanny will have to prepare meals for the children while they take a nap.

The three families, as well as the grandparents, meet in their large family home in the south of Belgium at weekends. The nanny being on duty 24/7 will accompany them.

In the summer, the family goes to the South of France for two months following the same principle of rota. They have a large property there.

The family also spends two weeks a year in Marbella.

When she is not working or if she is not needed, the nanny will be in an apartment made available to her and consisting of two bedrooms, kitchen, dining room, the bills of which will be paid by the family.

The job will be worked 24 hours a day, two weeks on/two weeks off. Christmas is always free .

The family has two dogs, a Labrador and a smaller dog, which are not the nanny's responsibility.

The salary is €5,250 net / €350 per day.
