Barcelona, Spain | Maternity Nurse/Newborn Care Specialist Sought for 6 Month Booking | January 2026 Start Date
A welcoming Ukrainian/American family, who are based in Barcelona, are searching for a maternity nurse/newborn care specialist to join them in caring for their first child. They are expecting a baby girl who is due towards the end of January 2026.
Start Date: Mid/End January 2026
Working Hours: 24/6 (with a 4-hour consecutive break provided daily)
Duties: Feeding, changing and caring for baby. Setting baby on a good routine daily and overnight. Supporting mum as she recovers, supporting her feeding choices and helping the family adjust to their new, very welcome, arrival. Someone who is knowledgeable about sterilizing bottles and baby equipment, stocking the nursery, taking care of baby's delicate laundry and ensuring baby's spaces are tidy is appreciated.
Travel: The family do plan to travel during the 6-month period and would like their maternity nurse to join them on these trips.
Language Requirements: Being able to communicate in English is necessary, an ability to speak Ukrainian, Russian or Spanish would be a plus.
Accommodation: A separate room is provided for the maternity nurse to use on their breaks and day off.
Salary: 24-hour rates beginning at around €380/€400 + will be considered, based on the maternity nurse's experience and qualifications.
Please note that only EU passports holders or candidates who already hold a Spanish work permit will be considered for this position.
This is a lovely position for an experienced maternity nurse/newborn care specialist, who is able to work in the EU for a 6-month period.
