Italy | French-Speaking Nanny | ASAP Start Date
A welcoming Franco-American family based near Florence, Italy are seeking a French native-speaking nanny to join their household team and support the care of their two children, aged 7 and 2. Their eldest attends school full time.
The parents have welcome their third child mid-September. Mum is on maternity leave and caring for the baby herself, so the nanny’s main focus will be on the older two children for now.
Working Hours: 60 hours per week, the family are happy for this to be arranged flexibly or to agree a 6 day work week one week and a 5 day work week the next
Start Date: ASAP/October 2025
Duties:
The nanny will work alongside two existing nannies and will be responsible for:
Preparing the children for their day
Caring primarily for the 2-year-old during the day, as well as after-school care for the 7-year-old
Encouraging the children’s French language development through daily interaction, games, and activities
Organising educational and physical activities, spending plenty of time outdoors, and devising fun, stimulating routines that support the children’s development
Promoting healthy habits and encouraging positive routines
Assisting with children’s areas and light nursery duties as needed (the house is fully staffed)
Languages: A native French speaker is required. Good English is also important; Italian would be a bonus.
Pets: The family have one dog, an Italian Greyhound.
Accommodation: A separate nanny flat is provided around 3 minutes from the family home. The nanny will have a private bedroom and share the flat with one other nanny.
Salary: From €1,200 net per week, depending on experience.
Requirements: The right to work in the EU is essential for this position.
