Maternity Nurse Duties

The duties of a Maternity Nurse include, general newborn baby care, assisting with breastfeeding/sterilising and making up feed bottles, assisting in establishing a routine based on your needs and preferences, tidying/supervising the tidying of the baby's room and laundry for the baby. 

Maternity nurses working in live-in positions are happy to travel with families.

Maternity nurses in Live-In positions, need to be provided with their own bedroom and bathroom within the family home or with separate accommodation.

Typically, a maternity nurse is on call for 24 hours a day either 5 or 6 days per week and is entitled to at least 2-3 hours off during these 24 hours.
