PLACED | Paris 17th | English-Speaking or Bilingual in another Language / English | December 2023

A family, known to the agency, are currently looking for an English-speaking or bilingual in another language/English nanny to take care of their 7-year-old little boy.

A family, known to the agency, are currently looking for an English-speaking or bilingual in another language/English nanny to take care of their 7-year-old little boy.

The family are also open to the idea of employing a bilingual French/Spanish or French/German nanny, to introduce their little boy to a third language.

The little boy attends the Jeannine Manuel school and is perfectly bilingual in English.

The mother works from home 3 days a week. The nanny must be comfortable with this professional organization. The dad is a business manager and travels occasionally for work.

The current nanny has been working for the family for the past 3 years and is moving on to new horizons and leaving the family in very good terms.

The family are looking for a calm, patient, dynamic nanny who knows how to show initiative and who will be autonomous.

The nanny will work as follows:

School :

During school weeks, the nanny's schedule will be from 1:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. She will start by tidying up the little boy's room, his clothes, his toys, books etc., she will then pick up the little boy from school (by metro) at 3:15 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, and at 4:45 p.m. on Fridays.

On Wednesdays, she will work from 12:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The little boy finishes school at 12:30 p.m. and will then have to be accompanied to his activities (football in the Bois de Boulogne by car, piano at the family home).

On Thursday she will have to accompany the little boy to his tennis lessons in the car.

A 4 hours babysitting per week will be requested (even if it will not be systematically needed).

This equates to a total of 37 hours worked per week.

Holidays :

During school holidays, the nanny will work 8 hours per day and will have to accompany the family on holidays.

Most of the school holidays during which the nanny will work will be spent in Savoie.

7 weeks of paid leave are offered to the nanny. Each half terms, the nanny will be entitled to a week's holidays (one in October/one at Christmas/one in February/one at Easter/three weeks during the summer).

In Savoie, the nanny will stay at the parents' home and when travelling somewhere else she will have a studio to preserve the privacy of each party. The nanny will be off on weekends and a return train will be paid for her if she does not wish to stay there during the weekend.

This is equivalent to 40 hours worked per week.

Responsibilities of the nanny:

• The nanny will be responsible for the well-being of the little boy, his awakening and will therefore ensure his safety and put in place activities adapted to his age. She will also supervise park, bath and meal times.

• She will also be responsible for her educational learning and in particular for learning English or any other third language. She will help him with his homework.

• Some flexibility is requested in the event of a little boy's sick days.

• The nanny will have to carry out a few small errands for the family: once a week, buy fruits and vegetables at the greengrocer and receive the fresh ones delivered to the home, go to the post office on the way to school, to the dry cleaners to collect a piece of clothing etc. and she will have to prepare meals for the little boy (and not for the parents).

• The nanny will have to use the family vehicle to accompany the little boy to his activities away from home. It is therefore essential that the nanny has a driving license and is comfortable driving in Paris and Savoie.

Please not that only candidates who hold an EU passport or already have the right to work in French will be taken into consideration.

PLACED | Lyon, France | Experienced Bilingual Nanny | November 2023

A family of professionals living in Lyon are currently looking for an experienced nanny to look after their three children aged 13, 10 and 9.

A family of professionals living in Lyon are currently looking for an experienced nanny to look after their three children aged 13, 10 and 9.

The nanny will be primarily English or French speaking, bilingual French/English. The nanny must only communicate in English with the entire family, including both parents. The children are not bilingual French/English but have basic knowledge. The family wants learning English to become part of their daily lives.

As parents both have very demanding jobs, the flexibility and availability of the nanny will also be essential.

Although the children are at school and independent, they, like all children, need to be accompanied, supported and encouraged by their nanny, both for homework and extra-curricular activities.

The nanny will be responsible for all the children's needs. This includes: setting up various and fun activities, organizing their daily life (making appointments, run errands relating to their needs, etc.), tidying up their clothes as well as their living spaces, preparing their meals as well as those of the family in the evening (simple cooking), taking care of their homework, activities.

One cook takes care of preparing a few dishes at the start of the week.

In the morning, either a parent or the nanny will accompany the children to school. The nanny will return home and take care of tidying up their bedrooms, clothes, books, will then pick up the children from school at 4:30 p.m. generally, and supervise the homework in French and English. Then follow dinner and tidy up and they go to bed at around 9 p.m.

The nanny is free during the day, apart from Wednesdays.

During school periods, the nanny will work an average of 50 hours per week as follows:

Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays worked from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and from 4:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Wednesday is worked from 7:00 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Added to this is a 3-hour babysitting during the week, and depending on the family needs an additional 5-hour babysitting during the day or evening on Saturdays. One full  free monthly weekend is offered but it’s likely that other weekends will be as well.

During school holiday periods, more flexibility will be requested from the nanny so that she is present during the day when the family is not going on vacation.

5 weeks of paid leave are due to the nanny.

A housekeeper is present at the home every day.

An independent and equipped 30m2 studio is made available to the nanny.

However, it is possible depending on the family's schedule and commitments that this could go beyond 5 weeks.

Driving license required. A car is available when on duty.

PLACED | Brussels | Bilingual Rota-Nanny – 10 Years Experience Minimum | Start as soon as possible

A friendly French-speaking family, well known to the Agency for many years, is looking for a bilingual English-French speaking rota-nanny to start in October/November and work alongside a second English-speaking rota-nanny who has been in place for eighteen month.

Please note that, as a consequence of Brexit, only EU passport holders or candidates who already have the right to work in the EU will be considered.

A friendly French-speaking family, well known to the Agency for many years, is looking for a bilingual English-French speaking rota-nanny to start in October/November and work alongside a second English-speaking rota-nanny who has been in place for eighteen month.

The current nanny highly recommends this family, which she describes as friendly, dynamic, very respectful of her work and never stressed.

This is an atypical job. The family is made up of three sisters, all married and each having had a child at short intervals. The two nannies are employed by the grandmother and work for the three sisters at the same time, looking after a 2 year old full time, and the other two aged 2 and 2.5 years from 1.30 p.m. on weekdays as they go to a local Montessori school. The nanny will take care of the 3 children at weekends but rarely all together as the young parents of the three children are very committed to their education.

The siblings get along extremely well and work within the family business.

A floor dedicated to the nursery has been set up at the grandmother's house. The eldest is dropped off at 8 a.m. at the family nursery. The two youngest children go to a bilingual school in the morning and are accompanied by their parents. They come home from school at 1:30 p.m. and take a two-hour nap, therefore from 1:30 p.m. the nanny has responsibility for the three children. The nanny will work from 8 a.m. to around 7:30 p.m.

The nanny will sometimes be asked to babysit. In this case, the child stays to sleep at night in a room near the nursery. Another bedroom is dedicated to the nanny.

A playroom is part of the nursery, in which children do painting, arts and crafts etc. It is therefore essential that the nanny has a creative mind and is very organized.

The nanny must be rigorous, have an artistic spirit, must enjoy going for walks, spending time in the garden where there is a play area and a sandbox, etc.

It is essential that the nanny is a good swimmer.

The family employs two housekeepers. No bedrooms  or clothing maintenance is required from the nanny who will only be responsible for the maintenance of the nursery.

The nanny will have to prepare meals for the children while they take a nap.

The three families, as well as the grandparents, meet in their large family home in the south of Belgium at weekends. The nanny being on duty 24/7 will accompany them.

In the summer, the family goes to the South of France for two months following the same principle of rota. They have a large property there.

The family also spends two weeks a year in Marbella.

When she is not working or if she is not needed, the nanny will be in an apartment made available to her and consisting of two bedrooms, kitchen, dining room, the bills of which will be paid by the family.

The job will be worked 24 hours a day, two weeks on/two weeks off. Christmas is always free .

The family has two dogs, a Labrador and a smaller dog, which are not the nanny's responsibility.

The salary is €5,250 net / €350 per day.

A friendly family, living in the 6th arrondissement of Paris is looking for an English-speaking nanny for the start of the 2023 school year.

The family consists of a 10-year-old girl and a 3-year-old girl.

The eldest is at the family home 1 week out of 2 and will be attending the bilingual secondary school in September, where she will go alone. Nevertheless she will need to be accompanied to go to her extra-curricular activities on Wednesdays.

The youngest will also  be going to a bilingual kindergarten in September.

As the children are educated in bilingual schools, the family is ideally looking for an English-speaking nanny or a French-speaking nanny who speaks perfect English and is able to help them with their homework in English and also in French. However, the priority is not in the languages spoken but in the profile of the candidate.

During school weeks, the youngest will be dropped off at school by one of the parents and therefore the nanny will only start her day at 3 pm until 8 pm. Wednesdays will be worked from 8:30 am to 8 pm.

The remaining 7 weeks of school holidays in Paris will be worked from 8:30 am to 8 pm.

The nanny is entitled to 5 weeks of paid vacation.

Some flexibility will be required in case of illness of one of the children, but the grandparents live nearby and are always ready to help.

One babysitting per week will be requested from the nanny and a taxi will be offered so the nanny can go back home safely.

The nanny will only be in charge of the children's needs: ensuring their daily well-being and safety, organizing fun and varied activities adapted to their ages (visit to the museum, walks in the park, etc.), she will help with homework and will supervise mealtimes and bedtimes and do small errands related to their needs. Parents take care of other groceries.

The nanny will be responsible for the preparation of the children's meals, and it would be appreciated if she participates in the preparation of the parents' meals, even if this is not on a daily basis.

A housekeeper is present every day at home and no household chores will be asked to the nanny, apart from tidying up the rooms at the end of the day.
