The family currently employs two other nannies, a housekeeper and a chef. The other nannies are responsible for cleaning, bathing, cooking and general nursery duties.
The governess will be responsible for managing other staff members as well as planning the girl’s schedules, keeping them entertained, and making sure their French is improving.
The family travel often and have a house in Paris. They are also planning to go skiing in January and need the governess to travel with the family.
The mom is a stay-at-home mother and the father is busy working outside the house.
The governess will be sole charge of the children when the family travel for a few days and needs to be comfortable proxy-parenting.
As the mother is present in the house, it is a mixture of sole charge and shared care.
The governess needs to be highly organised.
When working, the family will provide a driver for the governess to travel with the girls.
The family would prefer a candidate to have a driving license for her personal use to travel to and from work to her apartment.
The family employ a tutor that comes every morning.
The governess needs to be happy to work 8am - 8pm, 6 days per week.
The family are providing the candidate with a separate, self-contained apartment.

Both parents work in IT pharmaceutical company with offices in Budapest, Paris, Luxembourg , LA (USA) .They both travel a lot between these countries and the nanny will be travelling extensively with them.
Hungarian and English are spoken at home, and both parents are learning French. Therefore, they are looking for a nanny who will speak French to the little girl and to both of them. However, the nanny will need some knowledge of English.
The family will also consider a native English or German speaking nanny.
At the moment, a maternity nurse is looking after the baby girl at night and will leave in April. The nanny will be starting her employment as soon as possible and will initially work only daytime. When the maternity nurse will be leaving, the nanny will be working 24 hours a day, 5 or 6 days a week.
As mentioned, the family travel a lot and usually spend up to 6 months a year in the USA,but never over one period of time only. It may not be the case this year as the baby is quite young. They also travel between Paris and in the South of France/ St Tropez.
The right candidate will be professional, experienced with babies, caring, active, helpful and open-minded. She will also be very reliable, mature and not too loud even if the family are not looking for an introvert individual.
The nanny will be responsible for all the nursery duties and baby’s needs on a daily basis.
The nanny will be responsible for cleaning her bedroom, looking after her laundry, preparing her meals ect. Being used to travel and pack suitcases is a bonus.
In Budapest, the family is offering a small apartment 5 minutes away from the house. When in Paris, the family will be staying in Neuilly-sur-Seine, and are offering a small apartment. In Los Angeles the nanny will also be provided with a small apartment too.
The first interview will be on video call and then the family will invite the candidate for a weekend trial in Budapest.

Duties: sole charge care of the youngest child. Making breakfast, readying her for the day, engaging her in educational, age-appropriate activities, taking her on age appropriate outings, organising playdates and assisting with organising a nursery place when the time comes, her daily care, cooking healthy fresh lunch and dinner for her, packing her clothes for trips and doing the dinner, bath, bedtime routine. An informal Dutch family living in Amsterdam are looking to hire an English-speaking nanny to look after their two children, aged 5 and 3.
The previous nanny stayed for 3 years which is a very positive thing, the family really want the nanny to be part of the family.
The 5-year-old is going to school full-time and the 3-year-old is going to nursery 3 mornings a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. He will be at home with the nanny on Tuesdays and Fridays.
The nanny will start at 8am. A parent will be responsible for dropping the children at school/nursery and the nanny will pick them up from school. The 3-year-old will be picked up at 13:15 and the little girl at 15:15. School is within walking distance.
The nanny will finish her day at 18:00.
When the little boy will be at home for the full day the nanny will take him to his activities, go to playgrounds, organise with the parents’ permission play dates and more.
She will be responsible for planning indoors and outdoors activities, scheduling appointments with little friends, doctors, hairdresser... Organising diner and bath time.
The nanny will be responsible for cleaning the children’s bedrooms, looking after their laundry, preparing their meals, shopping for their needs etc.
Only nursery duties will apply.
The family employ a cleaner.
During school holidays, the nanny will be working from 8:30am to 6:30pm. Number of weeks to be confirmed.
The family travel frequently to Courchevel, St tropez, The Maldives, Ibiza, the USA, Paris, Italy etc. and the parents would like the nanny to accompany them. If so, the nanny will have her own private bedroom at the hotel and some time off. The parents will offer the nanny 4 weeks of paid holidays.
This is a live-out position.
The family would prefer a driver but that is not essential.
