Rota Position Available in Central London for a Nanny with Initiative | 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off, April/May start date.

Job ref: NAN/Rota/LDN

A family focussed client based near Regent’s park is looking for calm, flexible nanny to care for their three children aged 6, 4 and 1.5 years in a shared charge capacity.

Mother is at home and enjoys spending time with her children. The family require a nanny to assist with the children where necessary but who also realises when to step back and let the parents enjoy quality time with their children.

This family have employed nannies on a rota basis for several years and would like to find someone who can hit the ground running and use their initiative when it comes to assisting with child-related duties. This is a fully staffed household so there is no driving involved but the nanny would be expected to keep the children’s areas clean and tidy and assist with the children’s laundry where possible.

The older children are at school so during the week the nanny would be expected to assist with preparing the children for school, accompanying them on the school drop offs or pick-ups as requested by the parents on a day-to-day basis, taking the younger child to the park or an educational class, entertaining the children after school and assisting with dinner, bath and bedtime.

During term time the nanny would be expected to work every day during her two weeks at work. Weekends in particular require the nanny to have a flexible attitude and assist with different tasks during the day to enable the parents to enjoy one-on-one time with their children as well as time as a family. The hours of work are roughly from 6.45am – 7.15pm. As this is a rota position, some flexibility is required especially when it comes to babysits. The family expect the nanny to cover 3-4 nights a week during their 2 weeks at work, but the children are in a good routine and if the family are home the nanny has personal time. They require someone who commits completely to their work whilst they are on rota and then enjoys their two weeks off every month.

The family do travel during the school holidays. In particular they winter in the Maldives and spend Easter and summer in the Hamptons. When the family are in the Hamptons over the summer the nanny would be expected to work for 4 weeks on, 4 weeks off basis. Whilst the family travel they do expect their nanny to work longer hours including overnight cover.

The family are paying £500 npw every week on and off rota. Whilst on their 2 weeks off rota the nanny would be expected to make their own accommodation arrangments.

The parents have employed nannies before and are aware that it is very much the case of finding the right personality, as such they offer a paid weeks trial for candidate successful at the interview stage.
